| Name: Valda PaddisonBrief Biography: I contributed to NZ Gardener magazine for several years, then wrote 'The Gardeners' Encyclopaedia of New Zealand Native Plants' which won the Montana Books Awards Lifestyle category in 2000. Read more...I was Chief Consultant, with Geoff Bryant, on 'Botanica Trees and Shrubs' and contributed to the Flora encyclopaedia. Currently part time Massey student working toward BA majoring in History and English.
With Rae McGregor (see separate profile) I have worked towards publishing Bronwyn Tate's last novel- a goal now achieved.
Bronwyn was a prolific writer of short stories, many of which were broadcast and published in periodicals. A collection of her stories was shortlisted in the Reed Fiction Award in 1993. She taught creative writing at Massey University from 2002, and reviewed New Zealand fiction for a variety of publications. Her previous novels are: Leaving for Townsville,(1997), Russian Dolls (1999), Halfway to Africa (2002) and Lily's Cupola (2003).
Bronwyn was my dearest friend. She was a woman of intelligence and great wit, with a wicked sense of humour. When we first met Rae the three of us instantly clicked and formed a close group. We used to have 'writing weekends' at Rae's home where we could work without distraction - and eat great food! An enduring memory is the laughter we shared. Bronwyn always used Rae and me as sounding boards for her work and this was very important when she became ill. We helped her get 'Adam's Ale' into order in the weeks leading up to her death, by which time her eyesight was very poor and her keyboard difficult for her to use. She had tremendous courage and finished the book less than 2 weeks before her death in February 05. She died believing (as did we) that Otago U.P. would publish the book. It took us over 2 years to realise that this wasn't going to happen so we retrieved the ms. and came to PublishMe. Read less... Website Link: None provided.

In Read more...that “all round” role my stories - and photographs - represented a rural community, encompassing breaking news, local bodies and community activities. I have a strong interest in feature writing including people, travel, the arts, history, gardening and agriculture.
I am currently contracted to Tararua District Council as a part time media officer and combine that ‘local body’ role with being an elected representative of CHB District Council.
I am a freelance contributor to Terra Firma Magazine and have been commissioned to write the centennial history of the Dannevirke Hunt.
Co producing ‘Hakui Mothers Of Porangahau’ and ‘Tuahine Sisters Of Porangahau’ with Marina Sciascia has been a pleasure and a privilege. As ‘Te Hanganui Partnership’ (The Work of Two) Marina and I have embarked on an intergenerational project that encapsulates the social history of our community through the stories of its residents.
But while localised, their diverse voices and the times they represent are universal. These stories are a snapshot of our heritage. Marina and I plan to continue with ‘Fathers And Sons’ to be followed by our own stories.
On a personal basis writing, people and travel are my passions. These are supplemented by two grand daughters and a creative urge that finds its own quirky voice in felt making and knitting.
Meanwhile, in my ‘cronehood’ I look forward to the years of writing that lie ahead.

| Name: Crystal PublishingBrief Biography: “Crystal Publishing” was established to publish books that offered a different, more logical, perspective about the very many and increasing problems clearly be setting
humankind and global societies than is currently Read more...available from most mainstream publications. Hundreds of millions of books in many formats ood the global market,
with a relatively large percentage concerned with what we generally refer to as “the great questions to life”.
This particular genre of publication invariably reveals the competing interests deriving from a mainly religious
or ‘spiritual’ foundation; often, however, incorporating strong scientific or science/religious themes. Cultural
and political paradigms with religious overtones also fall into the same broad category. The Judeao/Christian ethos coupled with empirical science basically drives the overall educational direction of Western Nations, thus giving rise to the formulation
of particular societal and educational standards and law within those countries. The same ethos, of course, has changed forever the cultural beliefs of the colonised peoples
therein. Most books centred on “the great questions” therefore simply support and/or promote the standard views of often singular religious and/or scientific notions.
They do not provide the definitive answers that human societies and cultures clearly and drastically need at this time of rapid – and for many – frightening change. For,
if they did, there would not be the great concern and uncertainty about what to do to truly solve the many problems now plaguing humankind. Why? Plainly and simply: Because the long-established foundations of both religion and earth-science are based
solely on humanly-derived interpretation for religion, and similarly-derived theory for earth-science. Both ‘disciplines’, therefore, even though believing they stand correctly, actually stand unsteady and tot-tering, awaiting complete collapse.
“Without Revelation a Nation fades. But it prospers by knowing The Law!” (Proverbs 29:18) “Crystal Publishing” employs the inviolable knowledge of precisely that One Law – The Spiritual Laws of Creation – which, from the very beginning, was or-dained
to be the foundation and cornerstone for all hu-man life and endeavour within all global societies. It is thus that knowledge which can give ‘real life’ to science,
religion, cultural activity and aspirations; and even further basic, indigenous belief-systems.
The ‘works’ of “Crystal Publishing”, by design, content and purpose, therefore stand well outside the standard scientific and religious/theological parameters that purport to offer definitive explanations for all of global societies’ many and increasing problems. Recognition of that very knowledge of Spiritual Law is crucially-imperative
for present-day humanity. For only by recognising, embracing and applying the sure and immutable principles inherent in such LAW might humankind at least begin the process of righting and re-balancing some
aspects of what is so clearly wrong across all global soci-eties. Can the overall, increasing rate of collapse now be stayed, however? The daily TV news items tell the visual story more starkly than any book can. However, what ‘real-time’ electronic media do not, and ultimately cannot, provide, are the actual fundamental and founda-tional
reasons for such events. Those reasons lie solely within the inviolable and immutable outworking of Perfect Law! “Crystal Publishing” offers the knowledge of precisely that LAW, and thus more meaningful and logical answers to assuage the growing suffering of an ever-increasingly
fearful global humanity! Read less... Available works: Bible 'Mysteries' Explained Jesus The Coming of Pakeha Religion The Gathering Apocalypse and World Judgement The Spiritual Laws of Creation The Two Sons Of God Whither Cometh Humankind Website Link: Click here to open link in new window
