Members talk about the PublishMe Process
Julie Leibrich: Shadow Friend
Although Julie has had eight books published through traditional publishing houses, she has been so pleased with her first success in self-publishing through PublishMe that she sent this very kind
feedback of her experience - writers about to embark on the exciting publishing process will enjoy reading her thoughts!

Janet Murdoch: Railway to Welbourn
"I logged onto publishme.co.nz and found the six steps to publishing a book really easy to follow and that set me on the process to actually use these guidelines to publish my own book."
Tim Brown, David Shillington: Changing Standards
"We decided to publish a selection of our columns on aspects of Popular Science
which we have now published weekly in the Manawatu Standard for four years.
Having made that selection, the search for a publisher led us to a Publish Me
seminar in Palmerston North. It looked too easy and manageable. What was the
catch? Well, there was no catch, quite the contrary. The original quote was
actually more than the final cost and Ocean Reeve and the team advised us all
along of the ways to save money. The key feature of Publish Me is that you start
and finish where you like in their publishing flow chart (six steps from memory).
You do not need to use all the steps but we would urge you to at least consider
every step carefully from the starts, it will save you errors, time and money. We
made lots of mistakes which need not have happened if we'd followed the Publish
Me plan more closely. Having said that, Publish Me were never critical, only
encouraging. We did the job within a year and it could have been sooner had we
taken more notice of the Publish Me plan. When promising the volumes for a book
launch Ocean and the team were slightly ahead of the deadline. Working with
Publish Me was positive and pleasurable. Try it, I think you'll enjoy it."
