About this title.

This book has been very popular among people who perhaps remember their own teenage years. They also enjoy it because it is irresistibly funny and certainly not considered politically correct. The author would likely have been considered disobedient, unruly, disorderly, undisciplined, cheeky, mischievous, disrespectful, crazy and; ‘in need of a damn good thrashing’; by the older generation during the late 1960’s. Lots of young people relate to this too. The book covers the 2nd and 3rd decades of a young man's life - the cars he owned - and what he did with them. Today he would be called a boy racer. An excellent easy read with a ‘belly aching’ laugh on every page. An ideal gift for anyone with a sense of humour, a love of cars – and perhaps has indulged in a little bit of civil disobedience. Guaranteed to make you laugh - a lot. Wonderful reviews and feedback from readers.

About this Author.

Contrary to all expectations Maurice O'Reilly made it to middle age. The journey was well - interesting.

Maurice has always been a competitive person. In sport, business and social life he aims high and usually succeeds. He has been active in local politics, business mentoring and writing humorous stories for a wide range of publications. However, his principal love has been things mechanical. He has flown fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, raced jet boats, been a Search & Rescue skipper and is active in 4WD - but most of all, raced cars. Success in motorsport has lead to an amateur career of international endurance racing. He now competes for numerous teams in long distance racing all over the world. In 2006 Maurice set the New Zealand Diesel Speed Record.

At an age when most people know better, Maurice is planning a number of challenges that will provide pleasure and satisfaction for many more years ... and probably more books.
