About this title.
It was very unfortunate that mankind developed a society of violence, however, nobody is to blame. Therefore, this book should be read without anger or any bad feelings.
The intention of this book is to summarise the existing knowledge, most of it
accessible on the internet, and combine the past with the present in order to have a
better understanding of how we live today.
A substantial part is purposely taken literally from other authors and publications so that the content of this book is more convincing.
For instance, every student learns that 1789 was the Great French Revolution.
Nobody will question this because it seems common knowledge. If I stated the
French Revolution was no revolution at all but only progress, nobody would
believe me. Would you? Therefore, I cite from the translated book of a French
author and philosopher, famous at the time, who concluded in1840 just 51 years after the French Revolution started, that a revolution did not take place and he explains why.
Unfortunately, sometimes the publications are not easy to read and understand; however, most important is the idea behind it. Some chapters also contain articles and cartoons from newspapers as well as letters to the editor.
