Originally from New Plymouth, New Zealand, Jamie Banks has a BA Honours and a Diploma of Teaching from the University of Waikato. He has travelled to Europe and America to conduct free psychology workshops, to Israel to undertake research on religions, to South Africa for love and to Australia for roller-coaster joyriding. He has been to Japan a number of times and taught English there for two years. After a short stint in his youth of setting up pins in a bowling alley, he is now a secondary school teacher and television extra and has set up his own business running stress workshops for schools and companies. His interests include sport, ethnic cultures, international peace and playing guitar.
