About this title.
When Trevor Campbell gave up his successful career as a top school principal, he was in desperate need of a break. He was burnt out and emotionally drained. The last few years of his career had been an emotional rollercoaster ride — not only had he had to deal with the frustration of an inflexible and conservative education system but the great tragedy of the murder of one of his pupils, Teresa Cormack. He planned his change of direction carefully; his goal was to become a fine-line pencil artist. The move would lessen the stress, feed his creativity and slow the frenetic pace of his life. He would have time to reflect, assess his beliefs and plan a future that moved at a slower speed. But what he didn’t plan on were the two major health crises that were headed his way! Trevor’s ailing heart was to bring about a new beginning. During emergency surgery Trevor wandered to the 'other side' before skilled medical intervention clawed him back to life. This crossing of the line between life and death was to have a profound affect on Trevor’s life. Strange things started to occur — things that he could not force into the 'logical explanation' category. Though Trevor had previously experienced 'moments' that he had relegated to the 'coincidence' basket, the vivid clarity of his new insights astounded him. This is the story of Trevor's amazing spiritual journey. It is a journey of hope, a journey of enlightenment, of peace and healing. It tells of Trevor's love of the bush and his connection with the land. It is a story that reveals the amazing truths of his ancestors. It is the sensitive telling in words and drawings of a journey home. Trevor and his wife Kay live near Levin on 5 acres of land which they have planted in native bush. Trevor spent many years as a teacher and Principal. He receives his insights and the accompanying pictures while meditating. Trevor is also a medium.

About this Author.
Born to Hugh and Edna Campbell in 1937 Trevor is the youngest of six children. From his parents he has inherited long established ancestral links with this beautiful land Aotearoa, New Zealand. Stemming from these links comes a deep feeling for the land and its natural flora. He has a strong desire to conserve and sustain the land for future generations.
Trevor with his wife Kay live in the Horowhenua District on a five acre block of land they have developed as a private conservation park for native flora and live a quiet life close to nature. They have two adult children who, with their families, are presently living within the greater Wellington and Kapiti Coast regions.
Trevor spends a large proportion of his time producing fine line pencil drawings, writing and together with Kay, developing and maintaining the hundreds of trees and plants on their small property.
Trevor spent some thirty years within the primary school education system and was seen as an innovative and progressive principal. With failing health, he resigned from the teaching profession in 1989. There followed two major health issues for which surgery was required. He continued to make changes to his life style while at the same time coming to terms with a psychic gift given to him at birth. This gift had been left to lie dormant within him until blossoming forth to become a dominant factor in his daily life.
Recent years have seen him using another gift, that of fine line drawing, to produce work which, in varied forms has travelled to many countries throughout the world. This artistic gift has most recently been combined with his psychic gift to produce a small, inspirational, pickup book titled “Threads of Understanding.” The story of developing both gifts is described in this his second book.
