About this title.
A passionate and brilliant poet since childhood, Pooja Mittal has explored the concept of poetry in her diary over many years--what poetry is, what it might be and what it should be. This young, gifted poet is a product of today’s connected world; born in Nigeria of Indian parents, she spent her early childhood in both India and Nigeria before moving to New Zealand at the age of thirteen. After being schooled and naturalised in New Zealand, she moved to Australia for her tertiary studies. She is currently living in Melbourne. Pooja shows insight and depth far beyond her years, writing poetry rated by Alistair Paterson, editor of Poetry New Zealand, as amongst the best he’s ever read. Pooja Mittal's musings on poetry are perhaps the best summation ever written on what the essence of poetry is today.
