This is the final book in a three volume history of motorcycling as it developed in New Zealand. it takes the reader on a journey from 1960 into the 21st century. When the Japanese Honda factory produced their reliable little machines, they heralded the demise of the British motorcycle industry's dominance. This book illustrates the end of an era and the birth of a huge range of motorcycles which offered affordable motoring for everyone. Scooters replaced smaleer clip-on motors, and the world fuel crisis of the 1970s which saw carless days introduced, was a boom time for cheaper forms of motoring. Kiwi riders have become world motorcycle title holders in speedway, road racing and motocross. The bikes, the people, the photographs and the statistics here confirm it all.
