As mentioned in the book, children should have a reasonable amount of input into the new dog or pup and be shown how to be a leader. This book provides excellent basic training, obedience, nutrition, and maintenance advice with easy to follow directions for dog training. Recommended to anyone training a puppy or older dog - whether the trainer is experienced or not.

Pat Oliver, as well as growing up with dogs, has been working with them for more than 25 years. She has performed well in competitive obedience with her first German shepherd, Nita, training her up to be ‘Obedience champion’. Prior to becoming a professional dog trainer, Pat was an obedience instructor for various clubs where she herself was trained.
