About this Author.
Heather Wiggins, née Martin, emigrated from England to New Zealand with her husband, and two children in 1966. They lived in Wellington and found the views of the mountains across the harbour reminiscent of the scenery in North Wales where Heather had spent most of her childhood. In 1969, with the addition of a second son, they moved north to Auckland for the next 23 years.
Then turning their backs on business life in the city Heather and her husband Michael moved to Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands. However, Heather longed for a cooler climate and the mountains she had always loved, so faced with retirement they moved to New Plymouth in January 2006. Both she and her husband are in love with their new home town with the many walks and the rugged coast plus Mt. Taranaki. Now there is more time for writing and also spending time with their six lovely grandchildren around the North Island.
