About this Author.
E.Doreen Blundell (née Tait) grew up with her family on an apple orchard in Tasman. Nelson, one of New Zealand’s prolific fruit-growing districts. She attended Mapua Primary School and Motueka District High School. Doreen has lived in Auckland since 1970 and has three adult children.
She was treasurer and later president of the now defunct Self-Publishers Association of NZ. She self-published her first book, The Amazing Apple. A history of apples, in 2008. The second edition was published in June 2008.
