About this title.
When counsellor and psychotherapist Marni Macdonald tragically lost her much loved pet and companion Chloe, a black standard poodle, she was stricken by extreme grief. Searching for support and understanding she scoured the Internet pet-loss support groups, and came across and contacted by email a pet grief counsellor, Vicki Mathison, who truly understood because she too had recently lost her own black standard poodle. Through a series of emails, spanning over two years, the pair helped one another through their grieving and, in the process, became close friends. Their insights about pet-loss grief are shared in this book along with their emails, making it a truly heartwarming journey and supportive for anyone who has also lost a beloved pet.
